Mission & Expectations

Mission Statement

Our mission is to equip believers to become mature followers of Christ and prepare them for further service to the Lord in the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-13).

Expectations of Students

Student life at CCBI is characterized by service, study, social activities (i.e., fellowship), and spiritual growth. Beyond normal academic requirements, students are encouraged to serve in ministry. Belonging to, and serving in, a body of believers is part of the learning experience at CCBI. We require all students to be part of the church body at Cornerstone Chapel, one of our affiliated Calvary Chapels, or a church that shares the same beliefs and teaches the Word of God in a manner consistent with Calvary Chapel.

Since CCBI is a college-level program, study is a major part of each part of each student’s life. Learning takes place through interaction in the classroom and with fellow students, instructors and pastors. A tremendous volume of ministry takes place during the course of a year and students are able to observe and participate in real ministry situations and learn from those who are actively engaged in church-based ministry.

As a result of service, study, and social activities, tremendous spiritual growth takes place in the life of our students. Those who allow themselves to be fully engaged in all CCBI has to offer often experience a closer, deeper walk with the Lord.
